312.236.4316 ext.224pfioretto@baumsigman.comMr. Fioretto has been a partner of the Firm since January 1999. He began his career at Baum Sigman in 1990. He concentrates on labor and employment law. Mr. Fioretto assists in the coordination and supervision of the Firm's employment and labor services. He has considerable experience in litigating labor management issues before state and federal courts, and various federal and state agencies, as well as in private arbitration. Mr. Fioretto has prosecuted and defended a wide range of employment discrimination cases before administrative agencies as well as in federal court.
Mr. Fioretto has been a co- speaker on such topics as "Resolving Grievances Effectively," "Protecting Workplace Security: The Ongoing Need For Collective Bargaining In The Public Sector," and "Mental Health Issues: Dealing with Employees with Mental Disabilities," at various Illinois Public Sector Labor Relations Law Programs at Chicago Kent College of Law. Mr. Fioretto has also spoken at the American Bar Association NLRA Basic Law Seminars. He has been a Chapter Contributor in the arbitration treatise - How Arbitration Works, Elkouri & Elkouri, 2003 (6th Edition) and his paper entitled "Protecting Workplace Security: The Ongoing Need For Collective Bargaining In The Public Sector," was published in the "Institute for Law and the Workplace Journal." He has also lectured at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans seminars and regularly presents organizing and contract enforcement seminars for business agents and organizers throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
Mr. Fioretto is a member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers' Coordinating Committee, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association, as well as the Chicago Chapter of the Industrial Relations Research Association. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with Honors, and a law degree from DePaul University. Mr. Fioretto is licensed to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin.
