She currently concentrates her practice on representation of ERISA multi-employer funds in federal court. She has appeared before every judge in the Northern District of Illinois representing ERISA multi-employer benefit funds. Ms. Geiringer also has trial experience in employment discrimination and civil rights law, and has developed an area of expertise in the settlement of complex cases. Ms. Dunitz-Geiringer has represented hundreds of clients in class action litigation both in federal and state court. She has represented clients in their pursuit and in their defense of discrimination charges before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Human Rights Commission and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Ms. Dunitz-Geiringer has successfully arbitrated numerous labor contract disputes on behalf of employees, and has prosecuted and defended against unfair labor practice charges before the National and State Labor Relations Boards. Ms. Dunitz-Geiringer has also taught classes in anti-harassment to union apprentices, and has lectured at women in the labor movement conferences on defining and reporting sexual harassment. She is a regular contributor to the Firm's client newsletter.
Ms. Dunitz-Geiringer graduated, cum laude, from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Policy in 1993. She received her J.D. from the DePaul University School of Law in 1996, where she won the American Jurisprudence Award for her course work in Employment Discrimination, and where she was a member of the Wagner Labor Law national moot court team. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association.
